Dr. Chan is a graduate of New York Medical College (1986) and completed residency & fellowship training at Lenox Hill Hospital. He is Nephrology Board Certified since 1992. Dr. Chan specializes in outpatient Nephrology, and is committed to providing high quality, comprehensive, personalized medical care for a wide variety of patients in the New York City area. He has provided expert Nephrology consultation requested by primary care physicians for over 30 years. Dr. Chan is a solo practitioner, who does not utilize physician extenders (nurses or physician assistants); all consultations are conducted face-to-face with the patient. In addition, encrypted & HIPAA compliant audio/video "telehealth" virtual office visits are available as well. As a specialist only, Dr. Chan integrates medical evaluation, testing procedures, and decisions regarding therapy with his patients' referring physicians. He is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital, Upper East Side Dialysis Center, and Chinatown Dialysis Center. Dr. Chan attended New York City public schools, including Bronx Science, and CUNY's Sophie Davis Program.
